Checklists of things required by Youth Ministries
Checklist of things for team members to take on a trip
 
REQUIRED BY YOUTH MINISTRIES
In order to support your StormCo projects Youth Ministries requires the following from you. . .

Request Public Liability Insurance if required by organisation at destination. (Request form must be sent to Risk Management 2 weeks before needed by organisation)
• Request Extra Protection Insurance if required and Fax/post to Youth Ministries
• Complete Storm Co Volunteer Insurance Cover form and Fax/post to Youth Ministries
• Obtain Working with Children Checks for all team members aged 16yrs and over and file (no need to sign this form for each trip so long as you have a copy on file) You may be required to show them at your destination.
• Request t-shirts (in sizes) for your team from Youth Ministries (t-shirt order form can be obtained upon request – send in requests by e-mail or fax by the end of the first week in February).
• Order balloons from Youth Ministries if needed
(250 bag @ $20, 100 bag @ $10, pumps @ $5)
• Complete a budget of expected income and outgoings for trip. (sample budgets can be obtained from Youth Ministries)
• Send budget to Youth Ministries.
(Cheque or direct credit to Storm Co bank account of NNSW subsidy can be made on receipt of budget. Note: cost of t-shirts, balloons, extra protection insurance & any other amounts owing by team will be deducted from subsidy.)
• Arrange to collect t-shirts & balloons.
• Supply a contact name and mobile number that will be available at destination.
• Advise youth ministries of the following: time, date and place of departure and return
• Note: Youth Ministries will attempt to come and see the team off and visit the team out on their trip where at all possible.
• Purchased Sanitarium products to the value of $100 will be reimbursed to you.
(send receipts to Youth Ministries to obtain your reimbursement)

WHAT TO TAKE ON A TRIP
Nothing like a night on the floor (where did I put that mattress), or a week without deodorant . . .

Air mattress / Sleeping Mat
Sleeping Bag
Blanket / Rug (could be cold overnight)
Pillow
Towel and Toiletries
Insect Repellent
Plastic Cup
Sabbath Clothes
Warm Jacket
Casual clothes (for cold and hot weather)
Clean clothes for every day – minimal washing being done
Old clothes for painting and gardening
Wet weather gear
Pyjamas
Footwear (thongs & joggers)
Hat and Sunscreen
Torch
Bible
Spending Money
Water Bottle
Any personal medications
Headaches – Panadol/Herron
Worship materials
Costumes – Drama/Clowns
Musical Instruments
Secret Friends items
Notebook and Pen
All valuables are brought at own risk
