North NNSW Rally - Avondale College November 8 2008

It was awesome to have more than 1,200 of you guys from around the Bong, down the Coast and in from Newy at Avondale College on Saturday, November 8 to be part of our last Youth Rally for the year.

We hope you were inspired by Tania Hayes and her incredible personal story of courage and dedication despite being faced with the most difficult choices. We know she and Warren enjoyed chatting to many of you after the program and they were blessed by experiencing worship NNSW Youth-style.

We were also really lucky that Dr Bailey Gillespie was able to be part of our program. As a world-wide advocate for young people, he specialises in youth leadership resources and training at La Sierra University. He’s dedicated to making our church more relevant to young people and was excited to see you guys so passionate about God and involved in ministry in so many ways.
 
It was heaps of fun planning the surprise wedding re-enactment that started the Rally. I know Josh loved it ‘coz he got to marry Wendy again (by the way Josh, keep practising that kiss)! And seeing you all say “I do” to Jesus was really special. By the way, how are you and Jesus going with your vows?
 
Way to go Macksville band, Avondale Schools and Ali and Leighton Heise, for sharing your sensational musical talents with us. Thanks also to the flower girls, the vicar (aka Mark Craig), the tech guys and everyone who set out (and packed up) all the chairs!
