The Avondale School Multi-Purpose Centre was packed to capacity on Saturday, 16 May, with more than 1,200 people atteneding the NNSW Conference Youth Rally, hosted by the Gateway Church. Themed "What would Jesus REALLY do?" the event featured guest speaker Matthew Gamble, whose authentic and down-to-earth approach inspired young and not-so-young alike.

With a focus on service, groups from around the Conference shared the various mission projects they are involved in and encouraged others to get involved in helping others. As one young person said: "I've never been to a rally where people were literally rallied for Jesus Christ. This happened on Sabbath and it was an amazing experience to be part of."

Youth Rally was an amazing success with more comments about how it impacted people than many rallies before it. We appreciated your feedback so if you attended please feel free to add your comments HERE.

NEWS

Never before has our church needed it's young people to stand up and be counted as much as we do now. We began as a church when a group teenagers and young people were inspired with a vision to become God's representatives and to build an end-time church. Often they weren't sure exactly where they were going or what they were doing, but that didn't deter them — they stuck out their necks with one purpose in mind — to share the Jesus they'd come to know and understand.

ReFramed is all about empowering young people to BE the church as it was intended to be when it began. Reframed is all about learning how to "reframe" the distinctives of our church in the context of today! Reframed is about equipping the generation in our church that has the engergy, the ideas and the creativity to be a relevant and dynamic community of Faith. You may not think that you have the skills for communicating Jesus to your world, however at Reframed you'll discover the next step in utilising those gifts. MORE

Avondale Schools Storm Cobar > 14th - 18th April 2006
Highlights . . . ?
An "un-named" trip leader gets pulled over for speeding. A NICE policeman (who also shall remain nameless) saw her wearing a StormCo shirt and said: "Oh, my kids are at your kids club" and gave her a warning.

Don't know if this is a highlight or not but StormCo Cobar was "sponsored" by Apple Macintosh . . .
just think a bus full of Stormers with 16 iPods amongst them. . .

Ali Heise (oh, she's the one who got caught speeding:) was "waddling" around VERY pregnant. She and Leighton are due in about five weeks. All the best to both of you, we ALL want to be the first to know what you have.
